According to The Hollywood Reporter, Freefrom will not be airing Marvel’s New Warriors as originally planned. According to the report, Freeform was unable to find a spot on the schedule for the series.
“We are extremely excited about Marvel’s New Warriors and look forward to finding the perfect partner to launch the series with in 2018,” said Dan Buckley, president of Marvel Entertainment.
Not quite super, not yet heroes, Marvel’s New Warriors features six young people learning to cope with their abilities in a world where bad guys can be as terrifying as bad dates.
It is unknown where the series will land, if at all. The 2018 launch date implies that the series will not be heading to the Disney streaming service as it does not being until late 2019.
