If presale tickets are any indication, Marvel’s latest superhero film could be in for a big opening. As Deadline reports, sales for Black Panther are currently outpacing Captain America: Civil War on the ticketing site Fandango. This makes the film the best-selling MCU title in the first 24-hours of presales. However, it should be noted that, with such a small timeframe, it’s hard to say whether this impressive feat will actually mean Black Panther will best Civil War’s $179 million opening weekend — especially since the latter opened in May as opposed to February (the highest February opening was posted by Fox’s Deadpool with $132 million). Still, with strong sales out of the gate, expectations for Black Panther could easily climb once tracking begins.
