Netflix just released a trailer for the upcoming second season of Marvel”s Luke Cage, which will premiere on June 22nd. Cage, as most heroes do, gained his powers when an experiment went wrong and instantly became a fugitive. Gifted (or cursed?) with super strength and unbreakable skin, Cage’s battleground is Harlem where he fights for his city. Fans of the Marvel comics will recognize Cage as a founding member the Defenders, teaming up with Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist. Since early 2015 Netflix and Marvel have been creating standalone seasons for each of the heroes mentioned, as well as a 8-episode run of The Defenders seeing all four team up to protect New York City.

Luke Cage stars Mike Colter, Justin Swain, Alfre Woodard, and Rosario Dawson. All 13 season 2 episodes will be available to stream on June 22nd on Netflix.
