For the past two days, Mickey’s of Hollywood, a boutique found at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, has been testing at complimentary Personal Shopper service. The personal shopper will help guests locate specific merchandise items in store or throughout the Park and will assist in getting those items to the guest.
What’s happening:
- According to our friends at the Disney Food Blog, Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been conducting a three day test of a Personal Shopper service at Mickey’s of Hollywood. The test period began on Monday.
- Two knowledgable Cast Members at Mickey’s of Hollywood are equipped with tablets and can help assist guests in locating the specific items in store and throughout the Park. Personal Shoppers will also be available to offer gift suggestions and ideas for guests when shopping.
- The Disney Food Blog writes that if guests are “interested in an item, the Cast Member can pick up the gift for you if it’s located at a different park shop.” If guests find something to purchase “right away, they can have the item waiting for you at package pickup later in the day.”
- Today is the last day of the initial test, and no announcements of continued testing or additional roll outs have been made at this time.
