The Walt Disney Family Museum Temporarily Closes Due to Power Outage

Those hoping to visit the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco, California today may be out of luck as the venue has announced it is temporarily closed due a power outtage.

  • This afternoon, the Walt Disney Family Museum tweeted that a power outage had caused their temporary closure.
  • In it, they wrote: “Due to an unforeseen power outage in the Presidio, The Walt Disney Family Museum is currently closed to the public. We apologize for the inconvenience.”

  • According to the Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s map, the outage does not seem to be widespread, affecting only a few customers.
  • This isn’t the first time an expected power outage has closed a museum: a similar event occurred in April 2017.
  • However, that outage was far larger, impacting more than 95,000 PG&E customers.
