Production wrapped on Thor: Love and Thunder and to celebrate, both Taika Waititi and Chris Hemsworth have taken to their Instagram accounts to celebrate.
What’s Happening:
- Thor: Love and Thunder has wrapped production and both Chris Hemsworth and director Taika Waititi (who also plays Korg in the new film).
- The pair have taken to social media and both posted the same picture of themselves on set, as The God of Thunder himself points out, on “national don’t flex day.” The photo, taken by photographer Jasin Boland refers to the pair as “Bra’s from another Ma” and says that he doesn’t know what he’s going to do without the two of them in front of his lens for the next few months in his own Instagram post.
- Hemsworth captioned the photo: "That’s a wrap on Thor Love and Thunder, it’s also national don’t flex day so I thought this super relaxed photo was appropriate. The film is gonna be bats**t crazy off the wall funny and might also pull a heart string or two. Lots of love, lots of thunder! Thank you to all the cast and crew who made this another incredible Marvel journey. Buckle in, get ready and see ya in cinemas!!”
- Taika Waititi captioned his post: “And that's a wrap on Thor: Love and Thunder. Sometimes two people come together to inspire the world and change the cinematic landscape forever. And then there's me and @chrishemsworth who are too cool to care about anything except making movies that bring people absolute joy. Ok I don't look cool I know that. This film is the craziest thing I've ever done and I'm honoured to bust my a** and have a nervous breakdown so you can all see it in May 2022.”
- Along with Hemsworth and Waititi, Natalie Portman and Tessa Thompson return to their respective roles for the new film, with Christian Bale joining the cast as Gorr The God Butcher. Thor: Love and Thunder is scheduled to be released on May 6th, 2022.
