Toy Review: Disney Doorables

During Toy Fair 2018, there was one product that above all others made me giddy and that was Disney Doorables. I wasn’t allowed to take pictures of them or even tell others what I had seen, likely because the cuteness overload would’ve caused national panic. To whip me into a frenzy the likes of which haven’t been seen since the debut of Tsum Tsums, Moose Toys was kind enough to send me a few samples of these amazing collectibles. Are you ready?

The Multi-Peek set can include between five and eight figures and offers the best value if you’re planning to collect a lot of these. You’re guaranteed to get at least one fuzzy figure (flocked), all of which are considered special editions. A convenient guide explains that the categories are common, rare, ultra rare, limited edition, and special edition. Within my Multi Peek box, I had five characters behind the five doors (Geppetto, Flynn Rider, Eeyore, Doore Mouse, Anna).

As an example of a play set, I received Rapunzel’s Creative Corner, which came with an exclusive Rapunzel figure, a bonus mystery figure (I got Donald Duck), a themed stackable door, and other accessories.

In the two blind boxes, which can contain between two and three figures, I received a sparkly Minnie Mouse, Lilo, Maximus, and Pua. I got an extra Anna, who is a common character.

The sparkly eyes and small size make these very appealing and convenient to collect. With 78 figures in this introductory wave, Disney Doorables is sure to become a favorite add-on item for your kids (and lets be honest, you want them too!). The themed collections include Mickey & Friends, Tangled, Lilo & Stitch, Moana, Beauty and the Beast, Zootopia, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Monsters Inc., Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, and Frozen. My favorite aspect is that there are some obscure characters featured, like the Door Mouse. Whether your goal is to collect all of the figures from a specific film or every figure possible, you’re guaranteed to have a lot of fun.
