The first round of our seventh annual Mouse Madness tournament is complete and now we’ll start to see which themes will move into the Final 4! This year we are attempting to determine the very best Disney TV theme song. We started with 16 themes and now we’re down to just 8. Two of them will square off every Monday-Friday until we have our champion.
Before we move on to today’s matchup, let’s take a look at our last result. DuckTales took the prize in the “Disney Animation” region by handily defeating Chip ‘n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers to claim the first spot in our Final 4.
Our next Elite 8 matchup takes us over to the “Disney Live-Action” region, where two absolute classics will look to survive and advance. It’s hard to find a more iconic tv-theme-turned-Disney-anthem than both the Mickey Mouse Club March and the theme to Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color. The former should be the favorite here but I would guess this will be a fairly close matchup with another spot in the Final 4 on the line.
