Disney Ultimate Princess Celebration Kicks Off With Free Access to All-New Princess Stories

For generations, Disney Princesses have enchanted audiences through their own inspiring stories, teaching us that we should never judge a book by its cover, or feel fearful of sailing beyond the reef, and that the best way to deal with fear is to let it go.

Disney worked with authors and artists from around the world to create 14 new and inspiring tales which are brought to life by stunning illustrations, honoring our iconic Disney Princesses and Queens.

Among the artists who worked on the stories is Alina Chau.

Alina Chau is an award-winning filmmaker and artist. Her credits include the Cinderella and Anna stories in the Story Collection, as well as the Emmy Award-winning Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series, and numerous best-selling games. Alina received the 2018 APALA Picture Book Honor.

Having grown up in Hong Kong in an Indonesian-Chinese family during the British colonial era, Alina’s creative vision is strongly influenced by a diverse mix of cultures. Alina's unique cultural heritage strongly influences her artistic expression and storytelling aesthetic. As she illustrated Cinderella’s story, Alina found inspiration in the fact that Cinderella always stays true to herself, despite the obstacles she faces with her step-mother and her step-sisters. Alina was also inspired by the courage and grace shown by Frozen’s Anna. Alina says she admires Anna’s courage to stand up for what’s right and her selfless good deeds.

The Story Collection is now available for free at DisneyPrincessStories.com.

Jess Salafia Ward
Jess Salafia Ward is an Aussie, an attorney and a die-hard Disney fan. She grew up in a city not too far from P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney; and she still enjoys dancing around in Snow White pajamas and serenading her family members with Sleeping Beauty’s “Once Upon A Dream” (though, unlike Princess Aurora, she is not blessed with the gift of song). Jess is an Elvis-lover like Lilo, and when she doesn't have her nose stuck in a book, she delights in sharing with fellow fans all things Disney, books, movies and history.
