Fans Join the Global Disney Bound for International Day of the Girl

Happy International Day of the Girl! Disney has invited fans all around the world to dress as their favorite female characters and join in today’s global Disney bound. Along with the costumed fun, now through November 20, Disney will donate $1 dollar to Girl Up (minimum donation of $500,000/maximum $1 million) for each like or share of a public video or photo with #DreamBigPrincess.

International Day of the Girl

We might not be at the parks right now, but we did find some fun pictures of fans getting creative and dressing in their Disney best. Take a look:

Today is #internationaldayofthegirl, which empowers girls around the world to reach their full potential and big dreams. To celebrate the launch of Disney’s #DreamBigPrincess series, I’m sharing my favorite Disney Princess, and of course – serving some beauty inspo (Halloween look, anyone?). Rapunzel is my favorite princess because I love how determined, motivated, and disciplined she is to find her truth. I also love how she never stops learning. Which Disney princess is your favorite? Now through Nov. 20, share and make sure to hashtag #DreamBigPrincess, to donate $1 to @girlupcampaign! What an easy and fun way to celebrate girls and make a difference! #disneybound #disneybounding #disneysmmc #disneyprincess #disneymakeup #rapunzel

When I first saw Beauty and the Beast I was absolutely amazed at how beautiful its opening sequence was with all the color and vibrancy of the stained glass images. Then came Belle, a girl who felt like she didn’t fit in, who loved reading, and wanted more than just being like everyone else. Since I was little I knew I was different, I wasn’t like the other boys. I liked Princesses, dolls, and other things that were deemed girly. Belle showed me that it was ok to be different and that you didn’t have to be like everyone else. She is what inspired me to embrace who I am and just be me. ? ? ? ? ? #Disney #Disneylife #disneygram #DisneyAddict #disneyaccount #disneynerd #Disneyig #disneyigers #instadisney #disneyinstagram #disneyfan #disneylikes #disneyfollow #instadisney #Disneyland #disneylandgrammers #disneylandresort #BeautyAndTheBeast #Belle #enchantedrose #dreambigprincess #disneyprincess #thedisneyprincesses #gaysofdisney #gaysofdisneyparks #disneyofcolor #creaturesoftheparks #disneystyle #disneybound
