Original Series
Studio: ABC

The competition begins with an all-new cast of celebrities who will be paired up with the show’s pro dancers and brave the dance floor for the very first time. Each week these celebrities will leave their comfort zones and endure hours of grueling rehearsals to master new dance styles and technical choreography to perform a dance, which will be judged by a panel of renowned ballroom experts as well as voted upon by viewers. In the end, only one star will rise above the rest to be crowned champion and win the coveted Mirrorball trophy.

Additionally, viewers can participate in an online-only vote for the remaining couples, where, at the end of the night, one of them will be crowned the “Dancing with the Stars” champion, culminating an incredible season, which will be announced live from The Grove.

911/6/2017Week 8: Trio NightThe six remaining couples are prepping for a special night of dancing, in which they will perform two numbers – a regular couples dance and a special trio dance, in which one past season winner or finalist will be paired with each couple to compete.
810/30/2017Week 7: HalloweenAn elimination occurs after the seventh week of competition, which features Halloween-themed dances. The contestants are divided up and perform in two team dances: Team Monster Mash and Team Phantom of the Opera.

Each couple will attempt to capture the spirit of a specific movie genre – action, foreign, spy, musical, sci-fi, drama, sports or animation – and perform a paso doblé, jazz, rumba, Argentine tango, samba, jive or quickstep. At the end of the night, based on scores and votes from last Monday, one couple will be eliminated.

At the end of the night, the first elimination of the season takes place.

Lady Antebellum is the special guest star of the two-hour Season 13 Finale. They’ll perform the television debut of “Dancing Away with My Heart” and then their mega-hit “Need you Know”. The winner of season 13 will be announced and will get the most anticipated mirror ball trophy.

185/17/2011Week 9 – EliminationsIt’s crunch time as we head into the Results Show that will determine which three couples will be dancing in the finals. Right out of the gate, Hines & Kym learn they are safe. No neck injury is going to keep this team from going after that coveted Mirrorball Trophy.

The legendary Stevie Nicks gets the crowd going with a performance of her new song “Secret Love.” She’s followed by a rousing routine from rapper Pitbull, featuring Ne-Yo and Nayer.

A short time later, an inspirational young lady with a life-threatening disease takes to the stage. Her name is Tayla Kelley and she wows the crowd enough to earn a standing ovation for her dance routine. In between all that fun, Chelsea and Mark learn they are headed for the finals.

Stevie Nicks returns to perform the classic Fleetwood Mac tune “Landslide” for an appreciative crowd. The cheers she receives continue as we learn that Kirstie & Maks are moving on. That means Ralph & Karina are headed home. The former Karate Kid turned out to be a fine Dancing Man during his impressive run. His gracious, genuine personality will be missed.

122/10/2006Episode 206AFormer Righteous Brother Bill Medley will be performing his Oscar-winning hit “(I’ve Had) The Time of Life” from the movie “Dirty Dancing,” Medley will be joined by his daughter, McKenna Medley, as professional dancers Cheryl Burke and Tony Dovolani recreate Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey’s memorable routine. In addition, backed by a choir, New Zealand born Natasha Bedingfield will dazzle us with a performance of her latest single, “Unwritten.” And though he may be out of the competition, Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s dance teachings live on in a performance by his students – Sergey Onik, Michelle Glazarov, Valeria Kazherinova, Nicole Volynets, Valentin Chmerkivskiy and Boris Leokumovich — who will be dancing the Jive to “Mambo #5.”

71/26/2006Episode 204Tonight’s featured dances were the Foxtrot and the Paso Doble. According to judge Len Goodman, the Foxtrot should be an elegant dance filled with gentle rises and falls. The Paso Doble is the most theatrical dance in ballroom, best known thanks to the fantastic film, Strictly Ballroom. In the Paso Doble, the man must portray the arrogant, macho matador and the woman acts as his cape.
