New York Comic Con is wrapping up today but not before the cast and creators of Just Beyond got together to discuss the upcoming Disney+ original series.

- R.L. Stine – Executive producer
- Grahame-Smith was asked if he ever thought he would be doing a horror series for Disney:
- “No, it didn’t seem like those two things were obvious matches but at the same time, I don’t know that I would be shocked just because what R.L. Stine does is finds a way to make horror scary but safe at the same time. And so we were really lucky in that Disney+ really encouraged us to go for it.”
- He also went on to war that there are some serious “horror movie moments” in this series, despite the fact that it will be streaming on Disney+.
- Stine admitted that he was too busy to write an episode of Just Beyond because he “has too many books to write.” He went on to say that he is working on a 30th anniversary book for Goosebumps.
- Just Beyond will premiere on Disney+ on October 13 with all eight episodes debuting at once.

- Seth Grahame-Smith serves as writer and showrunner. The series, based on the BOOM! Studios graphic novels by R.L. Stine, is executive produced by Grahame-Smith, David Katzenberg and Aaron Schmidt via KatzSmith Productions.
- David Walpert and Marc Webb also serve as executive producers alongside Ross Richie, Stephen Christy and Mark Ambrose of BOOM!.
- Stine is attached as co-executive producer.
- Just Beyond is produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios.
