ABC has set their fall schedule, leaning heavily on unscripted content as the network plans around the ongoing writers strike, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
- ABC will rely on its variety of unscripted competition shows this fall as the network moves forward with uncertainty surrounding the writers strike.
- That will including popular competition series series like Dancing with the Stars, Bachelor in Paradise and Shark Tank as well as game shows like Celebrity Jeopardy, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and Press Your Luck.
- Along with Bachelor in Paradise, ABC will also introduce another spinoff from the popular franchise: The Golden Bachelor.
- The new series will feature a bachelor and group of women who are looking for second chances at love in their retirement years.
- The lineup will also include the return ot The Wonderful World of Disney, which will bring beloved Disney films to the network on Sunday nights.
- Those films will join a one-hour block of Abbott Elementary reruns as the only scripted content in the lineup, though obviously there will be no new scripted content.
- ABC is also set to air six Monday Night Football games during the NFL season along with the return of Saturday Night College Football.
