LP: Are you a regular at theme park Halloween events?

DR: I was but they took it away (speaking of Mickey's Halloween Treat at Disneyland).

LP: What about Halloween Haunt at Knott's Berry Farm?

DR: No, not really. Cause that's not something really for the kids and although I'm a huge fan of Halloween, having someone jump out and scare me has never been what Halloween was about for me. Although a couple of years ago we did a documentary called Halloween, the Happy Haunting of America and we never got to Knott's Berry Farm, we couldn't work out the schedule. But it chronicles exactly that all over the country - that kind of Halloween.

LP: Is that available on video?

DR: Yes, Halloween Products sells it. You'll see it in all the Halloween stores come Halloween. If It's something your readers might like, it's generally on eBay. The gentleman who sells that, he's one of the co-producers, he usually has one every week on there.

LP: I know we have a lot of Halloween fans on our site.

DR: I know, it's a weird crossover. You know what it's all about, Doobie? it must all be about none of us want to grow up. How many people say "I collect tax memorabilia"? Nobody wants that because nobody wants memorabilia of their adulthood. We all want to relive our childhood. So we all want to live Halloween all over again and go to Disneyland. I didn't even get to experience Disneyland when I was a kid. I was 21 before I got there.

LP: Back to Quints. Is there anything especially funny or interesting or any scenes that people should keep a look out for?

DR: They did sometime kind of interesting. A unique new camera trick. They had that rig come in where they put 250 still cameras on a huge, massive rig. This is how in a commercial you'll see the action stop and someone can walk through it. They'll have a basketball player up in the air and someone walks through it. They actually spent the money to put this effect in the movie two times which is really cool.

The lead character of the movie speaks to the audience throughout. Breaking the fourth wall is always difficult but I saw the movie and the premier a couple of weeks ago and it really works - partially because this kid's so good.

Thins to look for - your readers can look for my dad in a scene, See if you can pick my dad out. But nobody will really care about that. No nothing extraordinarily unique about it Although if you want to watch an actor juggle a couple of babies at one time, it's certainly worth tuning it (shouts like a circus barker) "SEE IF THEY'LL DROP THE BABIES!"

LP: Are there any other projects you've got going that you want to mention?

DR: Oh you're very kind to ask. There's a show on the Lifetime Channel - I'm going this week to play a priest. I normally play cops. The big joke is "Oh my God I'm in Final Destination. But I don't have to be a cop, I'm an FBI man" in U.S. Marshals and Fugitive I'm a marshal. So usually I play a cop. Also look for the Invisible Man. I did one of those and I'll do some more of those. life goes on, I think that's on lifetime channel. And keep an eye out for Double Take in January.

LP: And you mentioned Final Destination...

DR: Oh that'll be out on video soon. Yeah, go rent that. But it's scary, not for kids. But if you'd like to remember what it was like the first time you saw Halloween back in '78, check out Final Destination, it's pretty scary.

LP: Is there anything else you'd like to add?

DR: Not really. I'd just like to say it's nice that you guys asked me to do this and one of the nice things is that when I'm around Disneyland, and people always stop me to say hi or comment on something, it'll be nice that I can promote something that's Disney oriented finally.

LP: Thank you very much for your time

DR: Doobie, have a great time and enjoy the movie!
