This can be contrasted with The Luxury Guide to Walt Disney World Resort  (purchase at the LP Store) by Cara Goldsbury, which lists a companion website and tells us where we can e-mail feedback. An Insiders' Guide book, this guide promises us it will tell us:

"How to Get the Most Out of the Best Disney Has to Offer"

It also promises:
"Includes Universal Orlando and Sea World"

The cover features a silvery plate covered with a shiny dome with Mickey ears attached, and a glass of champagne. The back cover invites us to "Discover the Sophisticated Side of Disney".

Based on that, the title, and the cover art, I expected something that was going to stick to telling the reader about the most expensive ways to fly into Orlando, the best limo and helicopter services to use to get to the Walt Disney World Resort, and detailed descriptions of the best Walt Disney World Resort has in the way of things to do, hotel suites, dining, shopping, and how to spend an obscene amount of money doing those things. Maybe this book would give us a detailed description of a private secret suite at the Dolphin that has its own gold-plated pool, cinema, bar, kitchen, and gourmet chef?

Not so.

No, this is a full unofficial guide to all Walt Disney World Resort, with some coverage of the surrounding area. The average Joe or Jane can get just as much out of it as anybody else., although it does detail the four Presidential suites at the Dolphin.

There are several pages of full-color photographs at the beginning of the guide, and then no more throughout, though there are representative maps of theme parks. Critical information, such as addresses, website URLs, and phone numbers, is printed in bold making it easy to find.

The "luxury" really starts to appear on page 238, where the spa listing starts. That is followed on page 243 with "Special Excursions", where you find out how to do things like surf at Typhoon Lagoon before park opening, take a picnic cruise, and charter a yacht. Pages 48-49 feature The Best of Everything as far as accommodations go. Pages 266-267 list the Best of the Best as far as dining.

This guide also includes such reader-friendly things as a Table of Contents, How to Use This Guide, and in Index.
