Variety is reporting documentary filmmaker Leslie Iwerks, granddaughter of Mickey Mouse co-creator Ub Iwerks, has started work on a Disney-commissioned documentary about Imagineering. It’s planned to be finished in 2016 to coincide with the opening of Shanghai Disneyland. Iwerks also created the 1999 documentary “The Hand Behind the Mouse: The Ub Iwerks Story” about her grandfather.
