Family Walking from Disneyland to Walt Disney World

6666252_GMy Fox Ausin is reporting that the Cobb family of Houston are currently attempting to walk from Disneyland in California to Walt Disney World in Florida. They are doing this to honor Julia “Ju” Cobb who lost her life to Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare form of Bone Cancer, at just 8 years old.

Ju lost her life at the end of a week-long Make-A-Wish trip to Walt Disney World. It was at that moment that the family formed a plan to walk from one Disney destination to the other. They started walking last August and hope to make it to Walt Disney World by May or June.

They travel 25 miles a day with one parent driving a “chase vehicle” while the other walks with their children. The Cobbs say they are “road schooling” their children during this time while staying in donated hotel rooms.
