The premiere for Disney’s upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will be held in Hollywood and not at Disneyland as the other four Pirates films have done. It is unknown if this decision was made to the construction impacts of Star Wars Land or to mitigate costs, or for another reason.
The premiere will be held in Hollywood on May 18, 2017. Another Disney premiere will be held on April 19, 2017 for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will be released in the US on May 27, 2017
Update (4/26/17): Disney has just announced that the world premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will actually be held at the Shanghai Disney Resort. The U.S. premiere for the film will still be held in Hollywood.
