Disney Releases an ESPN “30 for 30” on the History of “The Mighty Ducks” Film Team

Disney+ has released a video in parody of ESPN’s 30 for 30 titled “The Legend of the Flying V” going over the history of The Mighty Ducks.

What’s Happening:

  • Disney has released a short documentary under the ESPN 30 for 30 series going over The Mighty Ducks and their famous “Flying V” as we get closer to the premiere for the new original series The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers on Disney+.
  • The documentary features ESPN hosts, cast from the new show, cast from the original films, professional athletes, and fans as they discuss the history of the team.

About “The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers”

  • “In the 10-episode The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers season set in present day Minnesota, the Mighty Ducks have evolved from scrappy underdogs to an ultra-competitive, powerhouse youth hockey team. After 12-year-old Evan Morrow (Brady Noon) is unceremoniously cut from the Ducks, he and his mom, Alex (Lauren Graham), set out to build their own team of misfits to challenge the cutthroat, win-at-all-costs culture of youth sports today. With the help of Gordon Bombay (Emilio Estevez), they rediscover the joys of playing just for love of the game.”

You can catch The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers when it premieres on Disney+ on Friday, March 26. The original The Mighty Ducks trilogy of films are available to watch right now on Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ through May 28.
