This annual festival hosted at Disney California Adventure is a favorite among guests. With educational seminars, tastings, and parties there is sure to be something to please everyone. Join the fun from March 2 – April 12, 2018.

Festival Marketplaces

Enjoy tasty culinary samples from these marketplace booths located around the park. Guests can purchase individual items or recommended food and beverage pairings.

Special Paradise Garden Grill Menu

In addition to the various food kiosks, Paradise Garden Grill will offer a special menu during the festival:

  • Beer-Battered Cod with Steak Fries, Sweet Slaw and Spice Remoulade
  • Vegetarian “Meatball” Sandwich with Marinara Sauce Topped with Melted Mozzarella Cheese and served with Kettle Chips

  • Beer-Braised Pork Tacos with Pickled Apple Slaw, Black Beans, and Queso
  • Sausage Trio Platter with Braised Red Cabbage and Warm Potato Salad
  • Large Soft Pretzel with Beer-Mustard Dipping Sauce
  • Salted Caramel Budino with Vanilla Bean Chantilly Cream
  • Bienenstich Cake with Caramelized Almonds and filled with Vanilla Bean Custard

Seminars, Tastings, and Special Events

These seminars led by industry and Disney chefs promise to be educational and fun and cover a variety of topics. Some offerings require reservations separate from general park admission. Events are subject to change without notice.

Family-Friendly Seminars

Adults and teenagers are welcome to attend these seminars offered at the Hollywood Land Backlot Stage. From vegetable growing, and cooking demonstrations to everything in between, guests will leave inspired and knowledgeable on a variety of topics. Each session will run from 20 – 30 minutes long and seating is on a first come, first serve basis. Seminars will be held Thursdays through Sundays during the festival.

Culinary Demonstrations

Watch experienced chefs prepare tasty dishes and share valuable knowledge during these live demonstrations. Taking place at Paradise Park, culinary demonstrations are included with valid park admission, are standing room only and are available first come, first serve. Samples will not be served after the demonstration.  Guests wishing for a more exclusive experience can make reservations for a VIP experience which include reserved seating, a sample of the prepared dishes and a private meet and greet with the chef. Advance reservations are strongly recommended as space is limited. Reservations may be made up to event day, but space is not guaranteed. Reservations are separate from park admission and must be paid for in full and in advance. Once booked, there are no cancellations or refunds. Each VIP experience is $30 per person plus tax.

Wine, Beer, and Spirits Education & Tasting Seminars

Expand the palate at these tasting seminars led by beverage experts. Offered at The Golden Valley Winery, Sonoma Terrace in Pacific Warf, guest will develop a new understanding and appreciation for a variety of alcoholic beverages during each 30-45 minute session. Advance reservations are strongly recommended as space is limited. Reservations may be made up to event day, but space is not guaranteed. Reservations are separate from park admission and must be paid for in full and in advance. Once booked, there are no cancellations or refunds. Each seminar is $20 per person plus tax and only guests 21 and older with valid ID will be admitted to the seminars.

 

Wine Education & Tastings will be offered at 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays during the festival. Each session will be led by a knowledgeable Disney Sommelier and will focus on different wine regions, varietals, styles, and personal favorites.

 

Beer Education & Tastings will be offered Fridays through Sundays during the festival. Each session will be led by a beverage industry expert and will feature multiple tastings focusing on the different styles of beer and food pairing recommendations. Friday through Sunday sessions will be offered at 11:45 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:15 p.m., and 5 p.m.

 

Spirit Education & Tastings will be offered Fridays through Sundays during the festival. Each session will be led by a distiller or craft spirit expert and will focus on one type of spirit and the beverages it’s traditionally used to make. Guests will be able to follow along with the session leader and make one of the featured cocktails on their own.  Friday through Sunday sessions will be offered at 11:45 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:15 p.m., and 5 p.m.

Sweet Sundays

Join celebrity pastry chefs as they lead elegant 2-hour classes showcasing some of their signature desserts. Offered at Napa Rose, Disney Grand Californian, each session is full of creative tips and delicious tastings that will satisfy every sweet tooth. Advance reservations are strongly recommended as space is limited. Reservations may be made up to event day, but space is not guaranteed. Reservations are separate from park admission and must be paid for in full and in advance. Once booked, there are no cancellations or refunds. Each seminar is $99 per person plus tax and gratuities. Only guests 21 and older with valid ID will be served alcohol.

Brewmaster Dinner

Guests attending this special dinner will be treated to a 4-course beer pairing menu from Karl Strauss Brewing Company and Disney’s master culinary teams. This evening promises to be fun and educational as guests are guided through the pairing menu by Karl Strauss’ Brewmaster of Brewing Operations, Matt Johnson. Advance reservations are strongly recommended as space is limited. Reservations may be made up to event day, but space is not guaranteed. Reservations must be paid for in full and in advance. Once booked, there are no cancellations or refunds. Only guests 21 and older with valid ID will be allowed to attend the dinner.

Aspiring young chefs can participate in this fun “cooking” class in the Hollywood Backlot in Hollywood Land. Guests 3-11 years old will mix together an assortment of ingredients and then bake them in a magic oven. The result? Wrapped goodies for all chefs! Cooking classes are offered multiple times each day during the festival and are available on a first come, first served basis. Chefs under 7 years old must be accompanied by another guest at least 14 years of age.

Celebrity Chef LIVE!

Get ready for the ultimate cooking demonstration taking place on stage at the Hyperion Theater in Hollywood Land. Join celebrity chefs as they make delectable dishes and share secrets and tips for creating amazing meals. Each LIVE! demonstration costs $99 per person and plus tax or gratuities. Guests wishing to participate in a VIP experience will be able to meet the Chef backstage prior to the show and sit on stage during the demonstration. VIP experience costs $250 per person plus tax and gratuities. Advance reservations are strongly recommended as space is limited. Reservations may be made up to event day, but space is not guaranteed. Reservations for this event DO NOT require park admission and must be paid for in full and in advance. Once booked, there are no cancellations or refunds. Only guests 21 and older with valid ID will be served an alcoholic beverage during the evening.
