The new exhibition will be opened with a special one-night-only reception
Gallery Nucleus is hosting a special celebration featuring the art of the hit Disney Channel series, Gravity Falls.
What's Happening:
- Gallery Nucleus in California is inviting fans back to Gravity Falls with the new release of The Art of Gravity Falls book, the 10th anniversary of the hit animated series' finale and the 15th anniversary of the show's debut.
- To celebrate all of the above, Gallery Nucleus is hosting a special tribute exhibition, "The Art of Gravity Falls: 10 Years Post-Weirdmageddon," and a special reception featuring an artist Q&A, a book signing with Gravity Falls creator, Alex Hirsch, and more.
- During this reception, Hirsch will be at the event in person signing for 130 guests following a Q&A and live drawing based on audience suggestions.
- The exhibition will be on display at Gallery Nucleus from September 26 to October 11, 2026. The gallery is open Tuesdays - Sundays from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM (Closed on Mondays) and is located in Alhambra, California.
- The gallery has also highlighted one piece of art that will be featured, a scale model of the city of Gravity Falls made by artist Adam Dougherty (AKA @kreaturekid on Instagram).
- The special reception will be hosted on September 26, with check-ins starting at 4:00 PM. Tickets are required for the reception, and can be picked up via Eventbrite starting on August 15, at 1:00 PM PDT. General admission will be $60, and includes one unsigned copy of the new book.
- After the reception, the exhibit is free to attend starting on September 27 and all other days that the gallery is open.
- Artwork will also be available online to the general public starting on September 27, though there is no Patreon Presale for the event.
Back to the Falls:
- Gravity Falls debuted back in 2012, and continued with new episodes until 2016, becoming one of Disney Channel's most acclaimed animated series thanks to a special blend of humor, supernatural adventure, and a mystery that spans the entire series.
- The story follows a pair of twins, 12 year-olds Dipper and Mabel Pines, as they spend their summer in the strange town of Gravity Falls, Oregon, with their great uncle (or Grunkle), Stan.
- Before long, the twins find that the town is filled with monsters, ghosts, secret societies, and more - plus a whole lot of detail that kept fans (of all ages) engaged in the series and rewarded for paying careful attention to each episode with clues and hints hidden amongst all the details.
- The series culminated in a three-part finale, Weirdmageddon, thus giving the Gallery its exhibition title. During that event, an inter-dimensional being escapes into the real world and transforms Gravity Falls into a surreal nightmare. The finale also tied together plot threats had been developing since the very first episode.
- The series wrapped up after 40 episodes across two seasons.
