The Disney Showcase Collection by Precious Moments just got a little bigger with the release of “Mickey’s Birthday Wishes,” a light-up LED figurine designed to make each birthday extra magical. This hand-painted resin figure requires 3 AA batteries to bring it to life… I mean light. Families can display it on each birthday and it also makes a nice birthday gift for the Mickey fan in your life.
Mickey Mouse is sitting on top of his three tiered birthday cake. The bottom layer is red and yellow, two of his signature colors, and features stars as a symbol of his worldwide success spanning 9 decades. The second layer is blue with green, purple, and yellow dots, representing Mickey’s charming personality. The top layer is traditional white with rainbow sprinkles and Mickey couldn’t wait to dig in, with a slice missing from the top layer, which can be found in his hand.
The figure is beautiful in the light, but is even more impressive with dim lighting and with the candles turned on. The only room for improvement would be if they had been able to make the candlelight flicker, but it’s a small criticism of an otherwise perfectly charming piece.
