Voice of “Doc McStuffins” Sues Disney For Breach of Contract, Owed Revenue

The Wrap reports that Anitra Muhammad is suing Disney on behalf of Kiara Muhammad who voices Doc McStuffins on the hit show (Kiara is a minor). The suit accuses Disney of breach of contract, stating that Muhammad was owed 2.5% from merchandise sales from toys that use her voice, name, or likeness but has yet to receive this compensation. According to the suit this figure amounts to more than $250,000. Furthermore the suit alleges that Disney has routinely failed to pay Muhammad in a timely manner following her voice recording sessions for the show.
