Today news broke that the next star of ABC’s The Bachelorette will be Rachel Lindsay. Notably, Lindsay will be the first black lead featured on the Bachelor franchise. Variety reports that the news was intended to be announced on Jimmy Kimmel Live! after tonight’s episode of The Bachelor. While that announcement will apparently still happen, it was leaked by blogger Reality Steve and confirmed to Variety by a source. ABC declined to comment to Variety.
