Football season is almost here and ESPN’s College GameDay crew is set to kick off the college game at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom later this month, according to the Disney Parks Blog.

  • Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Desmond Howard, David Pollack, Maria Taylor  and the rest of the College GameDay crew will head to the most magical place on Earth ahead of a big game between the University of Miami and the University of Florida.
  • The crew will be set up on Main Street, U.S.A. as they break down all of the week’s matchups in college football.
  • Ahead of the broadcast, the crew will be visiting all four Walt Disney World parks as they experience everything the resort has to offer.
  • Both the Magic Kingdom Broadcast of College GameDay and the game between Florida and Miami will take place on August 24.
  • College GameDay will air live on ESPN on Saturday, August 24 at 9 AM ET.

  • Former ESPN reporter Ed Werder is making his way back to the network where he’ll rejoin SportsCenter. Werder will be based in Dallas and will report on various sports in the area including the NFL’s Cowboys.
  • The NFL has announced that it’s bringing the 2020 Pro Bowl to Orlando. This will mark the fourth year in a row the game is played in Central Florida. Ahead of the big day, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex will host activities as part of Pro Bowl Week leading up to gameday.
  • ESPN has announced the documentary Unbelievable: Virginia’s Improbable Path To A Title will air exclusively on the new ACC Network this fall.
  • ESPN has announced the premiere date of their new documentary series Backstory. Hailing from Don Van Natta Jr., the series will dive into the background of sports controversies.  The first episode will air on August 18 titled “Serena vs. The Umpire.”
