Disney Store Australia Closing Digital Storefront Next Month

Disney Store Australia is shuttering their online retail space next month, directing fans to other retailers for their Disney, Pixar, Marvel, or Star Wars goods.

What's Happening:

• Closures aren't just limited to physical Disney Store locations, as the online Disney Store in Australia is set to shutter their digital retail space next month.
• When visiting the website, DisneyStore.com.au, visitors will be met with a notice revealing that the online storefront will be closing on September 30, 2026. Orders placed before that date will continue to be fulfilled and supported in line with existing processes.
• Visitors are also reminded that Disney fans can continue to have access to and purchase Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars products through trusted retail partners throughout Australia and New Zealand.
• No official singular reason was given for the upcoming closure of Disneystore.com.au.
• Additionally, DisneyStore.asia is revealing that their Singapore site, DisneyStore.sg, will also be closing their digital retail space on September 30, 2026.

Some Quick Thoughts:

• This might be the first time we've seen the outright shuttering of a Disney Store digital retail space, as in the past we've typically seen mergers and rebrandings - like Disney Store becoming ShopDisney and back to Disney Store again.
• In fact, the only Disney online retail space that we can think of that actually closed prior to this one was DisneyAuctions.com. The website was originally powered by eBay, but ended that partnership back in 2006, and later shut down in 2009. If you go that domain now, you'll just be redirected to DisneyStore.com.
• It is also unclear if the closing market specific Disney Store websites will be merged into any others, but given that fans are being redirected to other retailers, this seems unlikely.
