Pandora: The World of Avatar Comes Alive at Night; While the Tree of Life Sparkles

Tree of Life

The Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom lights up Wednesday, May 24, 2017, in celebration of the new land, Pandora Ð The World of Avatar as it glows with bioluminescence at night. Pandora – The World of Avatar brings a variety of exciting experiences to the park, including the family friendly attraction Na’vi River Journey, the exhilarating 3-D attraction Avatar Flight of Passage, as well as dining and merchandise locations. As part of the celebration of Pandora – The World of Avatar, Disney’s Animal Kingdom came alive at night. The celebration began with a celebratory moment at the Tree of Life. Following remarks from Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek and Lightstorm’s Jon Landeau, the park’s icon came alive with some extra help with some stars. (Similar to the drones of last year’s Starbright Holidays show at Disney Springs.

Of course, much had been made about Pandora – The World of Avatar’s nighttime bioluminescene at night. Tonight we got our first chance to see it in person. And our first impression is that it is spectacular. And while it might be cliche, it is a whole different world at night. While we will have more to say about the experience, here our some of our favorite images from our first nighttime expedition to Pandora.
