Children’s Book Review – Marvel Super Hero Adventures: Meet Ant-Man and the Wasp (World of Reading Level 1)

With Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp dominating the box office, young kids are sure to be curious about these characters they’re hearing about on the playground. While the PG-13 action film might be too mature for them, Marvel is ready to cater to this new generation of fans with early reader books through the World of Reading series. A Level 1 reader aimed at Pre-K to 1st Grade, Marvel Superhero Adventures: Meet Ant-Man and the Wasp is a friendly way for kids to learn about these characters while also learning to read.

Through illustrated pages with between three and ten words per page, kids will meet Scott Lang, Hope van Dyne, and Hank Pym for the first time. The book explains that Hank created the Ant-Man and Wasp costumes and also points out the super powers that they give Scott and Hope. Through the pages, they join the Avengers and help save the world.

Kids today have so many entertainment options at the press of a button that it can be hard to keep their attention focused on a task like learning to read. But if the subject interests them, it might be just what they need to boost their reading development and comprehension. If your kids are into superheroes and are learning to read, this is a perfect blend of their interests and academic development.

World of Reading Level 1 Marvel Super Hero Adventures: Meet Ant-Man and the Wasp is now available for the great price of $4.99. As a bonus, it comes with a page of stickers as well as four word scramble activities. Kids will love learning to read and meeting two might heroes, Ant-Man and the Wasp.
