I can safely say that I found my favorite snacks in this book. As a pineapple nut, a stop at Aloha Isle or Tropical Hideaway is always on my must-do list and having the recipe for Pineapple Whip is amazing. There are lots of copycats out there that don’t get it right, so I’m excited to try this one. Another guilty pleasure of mine is School Bread at the Norway Pavilion in EPCOT and now I know how to make it at home.

Over at Disneyland, a recent favorite of mine is the Grey Stuff at Red Rose Tavern. If you’ve been to Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom, know that this isn’t the same dessert. At DIsneyland, it’s a delicious, moist cake covered in grey frosting with sugar pearls, piled on top of a thin cookie. Want to know how to make it? This is the first time that I’m aware of the official recipe being published anywhere.

As a longtime collector of Disney cookbooks, there are quite a few double-dips. For example, the EPCOT section is full of festival favorites that have been published multiple times by Disney. But with Delish Loves Disney focusing only on items that you can get at the parks and resorts today, there’s a lot of new items here, including another favorite of mine: the Sweet and Spicy Chicken and Waffle from Sleepy Hollow Refreshments.

The magazine is nicely laid out by theme park or resort area (Disney Springs, Downtown Disney and a few resort hotels included) making it easy to quickly find what you’re looking for. The final chapter is called “To Infinity and Beyond” and features a recipe from international Disney theme parks and Disney Cruise Line.

Retailing for $13.99, Delish Loves Disney has a lower price point than your typical Disney cookbook, while still giving you a lot of value for the money. For the most part, the recipes here are ones that can be enjoyed by most people’s taste pallets, even kids. And with recipes to make your own Mickey Mouse shaped caramel apples just like in the parks, there’s guaranteed to be something for the kids here.
