Disney’s Channel’s new series “Shake It Up” premiered Sunday evening to 6.2 million viewers, making it the cable channel’s second highest series debut, behind only the 2006 series premiere of Hannah Montana.
The show stars Bella Thorne and Zendaya as a pair of teenage best friends who land a spot in their local dance show. Viewers follow their misadventures on set and in school.
