Walt Disney World Weather Report for March 30 from @WDW_Weather

First things first I gotta tell you we dodged a bullet at the parks yesterday.  If you’ve been following my Twitter account (@WDW_Weather) you know that a frontal boundary stalled out pretty much right over us on Monday bringing us an awful lot of rain throughout the day.   The front was diffusing but as it did continued to push south of us hence why Tuesday turned out into a better day than originally forecast for us while portions of South Florida saw severe weather.  Well for the next couple of days, we shouldn’t be so lucky.

This front doesn’t want to leave the party because it had such a good time with us that it’s going to drift back northward as a warm front this time.  I could go into a whole lot of meteorological mumbo jumbo but the bottom line is that the chance for storms is pretty good today (Wednesday) and even greater tomorrow.

At the beginning of the week most of the models were showing unsettled weather through the weekend but I have to be honest with you what I’m looking at now, it looks like once we get through Thursday (sorry anyone who wanted to see Fantasmic and stay dry at Hollywood Studios), things should start to dry out for the weekend.

So Animal Kingdom has extra magic hours and opens at 8am for resort guests (Magic Kingdom opens at 8 for everyone).  The air is very saturated so you can expect to wake up to some early morning fog.  The fog should dissipate as the sun comes out, but as things warm up you can expect an increased chance of showers and thunderstorms with an even greater chance on Thursday. Temperatures will be in the low 80s but with the humidity it will feel a little warmer.  I’m expecting plenty of clouds otherwise temperatures could try and reach up into the mid 80s before showers arrive.

Should anything severe pop up throughout the day – follow me on Twitter and I’ll try and get that information out to you as soon as possible if you are spending the day in the parks!
