Disney has made an announcement to Cast Members that confirms some recent rumors concerning Walt Disney World’s Downtown Disney. The area will be renamed “Disney Springs” and 2 parking garages will be added (once on the Marketplace side and one near Cirque du Soleil) freeing up space for more dining, retail and entertainment where the current parking lot is. Captain Jack’s restaurant will be closing and a bridge will be installed near Rainforest Cafe to near T-Rex. An official announcement is expected soon.
