A look at Curt Schilling's visit to the Magic Kingdom the day after the Red Sox won the World Series.

On October 28th, the day after the Boston Red Sox won their first World Series since 1918, their star pitcher Curt Schilling visited the Magic Kingdom for a parade down Main Street. While Shilling, Pedro Martinez and David Ortiz all pronounced they were "Going to Disney World" after Wednesday's game, only Schilling was at the event (Update: David Ortiz and Pedro Martinez visited the next day. Click here for that coverage).

The parade route was packed with Red Sox fans many of whom were wearing Red Sox gear and waving signs. Red and white balloons were also given out to the fans. Given that it's been 86 years since Boston last won a World Series, fans could be forgiven for not quite believing the moment had finally come. After the parade had passed one fan could be seen standing among the confetti uttering "Is this real?" It is real, the Curse of the Bambino has been lifted, and the Boston Red Sox are World Champions. And they've got a trip to Disney World to prove it!

Video
We have a video of the short parade. It is 1 minute, 32 seconds long and is available in both Low Bandwidth and High Bandwidth versions in WMV format:
