Disneyland Makes Magic as Kids and Teachers Head Back to School in Anaheim

Disneyland created a bit of magic for some local students and teachers in Anaheim as they went back to school.

What's Happening:

• As the new school year begins, Disneyland Resort has brought a number of cast members together to make magic for students and teachers in Anaheim.
• Disneyland Resort surprised over 500 students and nearly 100 teachers and faculty at Juarez Elementary School in Anaheim, greeting them on their first day of school yesterday (August 6, 2026) with a morning of magic with appearances by Disney characters like Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, music, giveaways and more to start off the new school year.
• To further show appreciation for the dedicated staff at Juarez Elementary, Disneyland Resort invited them to experience the magic, providing each of the school’s teachers and faculty with a complimentary Disneyland Resort ticket for themselves and a guest to experience even more fun.
• As part of the resort’s broader back-to-school campaign, Disneyland Resort cast members also donated more than 30,000 school supplies to Orange Grove Elementary School earlier this week, ensuring local students and teachers are prepared to start the school year with the tools they need to succeed.
• Disneyland Resort is proud to continue its longstanding support of the local community by giving back to teachers and their students with a touch of magic in honor of the new school year.
