New Customizable Interactive Ewok Figures Coming to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland
But does it play Yub Nub?
A new opportunity to bring home a fun, interactive, Star Wars companion will soon be available at Disneyland Park.
What's Happening:
- Guests visiting Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland will soon have the chance to get their hands on a special interactive companion inside the Droid Depot.
- No, we don't mean the usual BB or R2 units that you can build at this location. We mean the first in the Batuu Adventure Buddies collection, which will be an interactive Ewok companion.
- In story, these toys have been crafted by a scrappy crew of Anzellan manufacturers, brought to life with expressive eyes, motorized facial expressions, and a mix of signature sounds, including giggles, laughs, and chatter that helps showcase their delightful personalities. Each Ewok can also interact with other droids sold inside Droid Depot.
- Tapping a single time on its head or tapping twice on their belly triggers random responses, while three quick, consecutive head taps enable two special animations:
- Endor Dance Party: Rhythmic eye animations and Ewokese chanting/drumming sounds. Nearby Ewoks may also chime in.
- Forest Call Chain: Rapid double belly tap near other toys, letting out a scout call and allowing nearby toys to respond in their own languages.
- Guests will also be able to customize their Ewok with themed gear sets inspired by destinations and characters from across the galaxy, at an additional cost.
- The food, toys, and tools that come with the gear sets connect directly to your pal’s left hand and trigger unique animations, sounds, and reactions.
- Inside Droid Depot, a cast member will help guests select their companion and accessories. Once a character has been chosen, guests participate in a special activation moment that brings their new friend to life for the very first time, before travelers are free to set off to explore the rest of Batuu with their new companion.
- The Ewok is the first of three new Batuu Adventure Buddies coming to Droid Depot at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. The other two buddies will debut at a later date.
- The Ewok figure arrives on August 13, 2026 at Disneyland Park. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World will also receive the buddies at a later date.
The Ewoks:
- The Ewoks are a small, furry, and intelligent species in the Star Wars universe.
- They come from the moon of Endor, and first appeared in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, and quickly became one of the most recognizable species in all of the Star Wars franchise.
- The Ewoks are about three feet tall, and live in villages built high in giant trees. They are skilled hunters, and experts at surviving in forests using traps and simple (but effective!) tools.
- They are mostly known for their role in the aforementioned film, where the Ewoks help the Rebels bring down the Empire during the Battle of Endor, and help the Rebels destroy a shield generator protecting the second Death Star.
- They also became popular enough to star in their own short lived animated series, Ewoks, which ran from 1985 to 1986.
