Here is some more information about the DCA enhancment that came out of a presentation made to cast members yesterday.
- Guiding Principles: Add More Walt Disney to Disney's California Adventure
- Add more family rides & attractions
- Create more immersive, fantasy, and nostalgic enviroments
- Create a more park-like enviroment
- Add more kinetics and characters to bring the lands to life
Other points:
- The new main enterance will be similar to that of the Disney-MGM Studios in the style of the Pan Pacific Auditorium
- The entrance will be pushed back to where the CALIFORNIA letters are now
- There will be a statue of Walt and Mickey depciting a young Walt just arriving to California
- The red car will go from the front of the park, around the hub, down Hollywood Blvd, and in to Car Land
- They are rerouting the parade route so it will not go through the new hub
- When Toy Story Mania! opens it will have a victorian feel that will be extended to the rest of the pier
- The midway will be themed to Disney characters
- The Sun Wheel will get a Mickey icon while the one on Screamin' will be replaced by a Paradise Pier sign
- Mullholand Madness will be rethemed to Goofy's Flight School
- The Little Mermaid omnimover attraction will take place at the Golden Dreams theater
- The 9,000 person standing viewing area will be in front of the Little Mermaid show building
- Radiator Springs Racers takes place inside and outside
- The Luigi attraction in Cars Land will be similar to the Flying Saucers attraction that used to be at Disneyland
