The Sanderson Sisters take over Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

IMG_5766For the next six weeks on select nights, the Magic Kingdom transforms into a Not-So-Scary Kingdom. As the night rolls in, so do some of the most popular villains in Disney history including a long-time fan favorite, the Sanderson Sisters, from the 1993 Disney film Hocus Pocus.

The “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” show runs multiple times throughout the night on the castle stage. This fun show not only brings the Sanderson Sisters to the big stage but it also shines the moonlight on some other fan-favorite villains such as Hades and Oogie Boogie.IMG_2952This show is wildly entertaining and also makes excellent use of the projection system that has almost become a show of its own. Additionally, it does a great job creating a soundtrack, including most of the villains signature songs, that will keep you singing as the night goes on.IMG_2957As the night goes on, we have two other pieces of entertainment that alone is worth the price of admission! First we have, in my opinion, the best parade in any US Disney park – Boo To You Parade which starts with the ride of the Headless Horseman.

Along with Boo To You, there is the kiss goodnight (celebrating its 10th anniversary): Hallowishes firework spectacular. With so much great entertainment, you can almost forget what you are there for.IMG_3271

And what you are there for is, of course, some great characters such as Jack and Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas (if you can do the 2 hour wait) and treat stations. This time around, I gathered almost 2 pounds of treats in one night!IMG_2907IMG_3076IMG_2881Of course, no Mickey’s Not-So-Scary would be complete without some great guest costumes.IMG_2883 IMG_2886 IMG_2888If you have never had the chance to attend a Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party, all I can say is, “Make plans now!” If you have before, this would be a great year to return with the new show! IMG_3081Remember, this event is one of the most popular of the year and does sell out often so purchase tickets here before it’s too late!IMG_3079
