Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights Parks Blog Meet-Up

IMG_6860 As the fine folks at the Disney Parks Blog do every few months, they recently organized a meet-up for the die hard readers who are fast enough to sign up (usually within the first few minutes or it will close) and this one was a great one!IMG_6821Taking place after park hours, 500 lucky readers were able to enjoy holiday treats and, of course, take in the Osborne Lights with hardly anyone around! The night started off with Jennifer Fickley-Baker, editorial content manager for the Parks Blog, giving us a run down of the event and Santa Goofy and DJ Elliot helping her turn on the lights.IMG_6829After a brief time of the dancing lights not dancing, the parks blog live stream kicked in and all the lights came alive as you can see here. Throughout the night, the treats were out and replenished to the point where even Santa would have to call it quits.IMG_6840 IMG_6837 IMG_6841 IMG_6842 IMG_6843 IMG_6844For those of you who have had the chance to see the lights over the past 20 years, you know it can be very crowded, but that was not the case on this night.IMG_6856 IMG_6855 IMG_6849 IMG_6835 IMG_6833 IMG_6858IMG_6851As the hour grew late, all the guests were called to the center of the Streets of America as we were to witness the filming of the first ever Inside Disney Parks blog video. This weekly vlog will look at the past, present, and future of the Disney Parks and should be popping up any day now.IMG_6863Of course, no Park Blog Meet-Up would be complete without some swag. As we exited an empty Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we were given a tasty treat and one of the rare Disney Parks Blog t-shirts!IMG_6872 IMG_6879
