The Spotlight Shines on Lamplight Lounge and Other Pixar Pier Dining

Pixar Pier Culinary Tour with Gary Maggetti

Lamplight Lounge

You may not get the chance to visit Pixar Animation Studios in Emeryville, California, but you can experience the next best thing: Lamplight Lounge. The restaurant has captured the atmosphere of the famed studio and added food. Well it’s more sophisticated than that. What we’re trying to say is, Lamplight Lounge is completely inspired by Pixar, and has incorporated fun elements from the films into this eatery.

Lamplight Lounge Menu

This “California casual gastro-pub is a spot where the Pixar creative types might hang out,” says Chef John State. State and his team have designed a colorful and classy menu that guests will love. Each dish is presented in a fun and unique way, just like Pixar films. Lamplight Lounge also offers guest reservations

What they’re saying:

  • John State, Culinary Director, Food & Beverage, Disneyland Resort: “The story of Lamplight Lounge is that this California casual gastro-pub is a spot where the Pixar creative types might hang out – a home away from home for the Pixar artists and animators. The menu is designed for a diverse audience that is open to all types of flavors, textures and ingredients. It was important for us to create a menu that not only looks great, but tastes great, too. Guests will find familiar foods, presented in an unfamiliar and fun way. We are excited to share all new food and beverage offerings with our guests at this elegant location on the beautiful waterfront of Pixar Pier.”

Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats

You know him, you love him, it’s the Adorable Snowman! Last seen selling sno cones in the Himalayas, the friendly Yeti has now set up shop in Southern California. Guests can enjoy one (or more) of his signature Pixar Pier Parfaits or a variety of tasty soft-serve options. Located just behind Knick’s Knacks, this quick service treat shop has already proven to be a big hit.

Jack-Jack’s Cookie Num Nums

Exit the Incredicoaster and walk right into a cookie cart selling delicious, fresh baked cookies! If the baby loves them, they’ve got to be good, right? This adorable treat cart will also have cold milk available for purchase, because you can’t have chocolate chip cookies without milk.

Poultry Palace

Inspired by the animated short, “Toy Story Toon: Small Fry,” this little eatery serves up fried chicken, turkey legs, and of course cole slaw. The theming is adorable and definitely photo worthy.

Señor Buzz Churros

Guests making their way through Toy Story Boardwalk will come across this delightful churro cart. Buzz’s “Spanish Mode” has been activated and he’s developed a love for the sugar coated treat. Enjoy a Caliente Churro with a spicy kick or a Cinnamon Sugar Galaxy Churro.

Angry Dogs

When Anger’s not in control of Riley’s emotions, he comes over to Pier to sell his signature hot dogs…in a variety of spice levels. The angrier he is, the spicier the hot dog!
