Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
This past June, the Play Disney mobile app was launched giving guests a way to not only pass the time while waiting in line for attractions but to also enjoy trivia and Disney music all from the smartphone almost all of us have in our pocket. Now it has expanded to the first out of park experience: one at the Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.

Guests staying or visiting the resort can take their first step toward becoming a Disney animator with the Stories of the Enchanted Gallery. This experience takes you to the world of Finding Nemo, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid and Cars, all while walking back and forth through the lobby getting funny looks from guests who haven’t discovered the fun. After adding your own artistic touches to a few key parts of the story you choose, you are directed to find key characters on the wall with your camera on your smart device. Once you find those, it triggers the next scene of the story.
This is a great way to occupy little ones, with each story taking about 10 minutes. All that is needed is a smartphone and the Play Disney mobile app, which is free for download in your App Store or Google Play.
