Downtown Disney’s latest addition to their westside expansion is now open. Combining the classic dining hall experience with mid-century modern aesthetics, Parkside Market is the new go to place for a quick bite at the resort.
What’s Happening:
- Today, Parkside Market at Downtown Disney held its official opening ceremony.
- The new multi storey dining hall features new dining experiences for resort guests to enjoy.
- Part of the westside expansion of Disneyland Resort’s premiere shopping district, the mid-century modern design of the Disneyland Hotel has inspired the new area built on the former AMC Theatres location.
- In addition to new shopping experiences, Parkside Market introduces four new food locations for guests, and we got a chance to check them out.
- Before heading inside, Disney held a wonderful opening ceremony to usher in this new era of Downtown Disney’s dining offerings.
- When entering Parkside Market, guests will find themselves in a bright and open eating area with three of the new locations restaurants.
- First on our list was Sip & Sonder. This coffee shop is a unique offering only available in the Los Angeles area. Founded by Amanda-Jane Thomas and Shanita Nicholas, Sip & Sonder was rated one of the best cafes in LA by the Los Angeles Times and is a Black women-owned business. The cafe features a selection of coffees, lattes, teas, and other drinks as well as a delicious selection of cinnamon rolls, breakfast sandwiches, and cake pops.
- Heading over to the next restaurant, we have GG’s Chicken Shop. The dining location, from Boka Restaurant, was founded by Rob Katz and Kevin Boehm alongside Michelin Star Chef Partner Lee Wolen. Named after Wolen’s mother, the quick service restaurant serves a family-friendly selection of chicken sandwiches, salads, and sides. This is the first West Coast location for GG’s. Don’t miss out on their classic worms and dirt style pudding cup!
- Next up, we have Seoul Sister. This is the first location for this modern Korean eatery, which features a menu based on bibimbap (Korean rice bowls) with a California twist. The menu was created by Executive Chef Kelly Kim and brings in bold flavors with marinated meats, fresh vegetables and delicious sauces, which can be served over rice, noodles or as a salad. You’ll also find a delectable selection of appetizers, a kids menu, and handcrafted drinks.
- For those looking for a nice relaxing cocktail with a view, head upstairs to Vista Parkside Market.
- The al fresco-style experience offers a wide variety of cocktails, mocktails, wines, and beers, allowing guests to escape the action of a busy night at Downtown Disney.
- The highlight of Vista is its large patio, which provides beautiful views of the surrounding area.
- You can check out more information on menus and pricing at the official Parkside Market website.
