ABC's Lost Emmy Nominations Include Best Drama, Writers, Director, Composer, Several Series Actors Nominated

Writers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof received an Emmy Nomination for their work on the series finale “The End” (Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series) along with director Jack Bender (Outstanding Directing For A Drama Series) and Composer Michael Giacchino (Outstanding Music Composition For A Series–Original Dramatic Score).

ABC’s Lost has been nominated for “Outstanding Drama Series” with actor Matthew Fox (Jack) nominated for “Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series”, Terry O’Quinn (Locke) and Michael Emerson (Ben) each captured an “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series” nomination for their roles and Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet) was nominated for “Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series”.

Lost’s episode “Ab Aeterno” that focused on the backstory of the mysteriously ageless Richard Alpert has been nominated for “Outstanding Art Direction For a Single-Camera Series” and the series finale episode “The End” yielded additional nominations in “Original Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series”, “Outstanding Sound Editing For A Series”, “Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (One Hour)”
