Walt Disney World Weather Report for April 4 from @WDW_Weather

Here’s all you need to know about the weather the last couple of days:

WEATHER ITEM   OBSERVED TIME   RECORD YEAR NORMAL DEPARTURE LAST
                VALUE   (LST)  VALUE       VALUE  DEP

                                      1920

So we are 11 degrees above where we should be climate wise for a high temperature and we have been above average for as long as I can remember these past few weeks.  I know Atlanta had their warmest March EVER on record so the entire southeast has been baking and while it looks like temperatures are coming down as we go through the week into the weekend it looks like we will remain above average for a little at least until early next week when we may finally get to where we should be for this time of year.

Like I just said expect temperatures in the upper 80s for highs today and we’ll be flirting with 90 once more.  I was in the parks this past weekend and whew those pop up thunderstorms can really dump some rain huh?  Was anyone else lucky enough to have the 2:30pm Off Kilter show cut short in Epcot?  That said, thankfully there was a covered stage to sit under J.  Sometimes it pays to be a weatherguy with a radar in your pocket!  So I tell this story because anytime after 1 or 2 a pop up thunderstorm is not out of the question (though the situation was better suited for Saturday).

Lows will get down to the mid to upper 60s so leave the jacket at home folks it costs a lot of money if your bag is over 50 pounds at the airport!

So while a thunderstorm shouldn’t be ruled out today or tomorrow, our best chance for thunderstorms comes Friday when it looks like a cool front (notice I did not say cold) may get pushed through Central Florida.

I will stop typing this sometime before July but with the warm up make sure you and your family are drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated and always wear sunscreen (even in the winter).  I must say I got a bit more red than I had bargained for this weekend especially when outdoor queues are a bit longer than you might expect.

Long story short – I won’t be returning for spring break anytime soon J!  Happy hump day!
