Bob Gurr To Be Grand Marshall For Anaheim Halloween Parade

Anaheim’s family friendly Fall Festival and Halloween Parade will take place on Saturday, Oct. 25, and will feature a number of fun-filled activities for the entire family.  The Fall Festival, a time honored tradition in Anaheim, will take place on Center Street Promenade from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.  Residents and visitors are invited to participate in the free events, including costume contests for children as well as their doggie friends, trick-or-treating, food, games, crafts, a pumpkin patch, a haunted house, live performances on two stages, and of course, the 90th Annual Anaheim Halloween Parade.

The 90th Annual Anaheim Halloween Parade will begin at 6 p.m., with the reigning Miss Anaheim Fall Festival and Miss Teen Anaheim Fall Festival, who will rule over the activities and ride in the parade.  This year’s Halloween Parade will feature amusement ride designer Bob Gurr as Grand Marshall, famous for his contribution and impact on the youth of Anaheim as creator of multiple Disneyland rides including the “Monorail.”

The complete schedule for the Fall Festival and Anaheim Halloween Parade is as follows:

11:00 a.m.: Festival opens on Center Street Promenade

11:00 a.m.: Registration for Costume Contest

12:00 p.m.: Costume Contest

1:30 p.m.: Registration for Doggie Costume Contest

3:00 p.m.: Doggie Costume Contest

4:00 p.m.: Center Street Promenade open for trick-or-treaters

6:00 p.m.: Festivities conclude

6:00 p.m.: Halloween Parade

 

Road closures for the Parade are as follows:

4:00 -8:30 p.m.: South Manchester Avenue will be closed between Lincoln and Santa Ana Street

4:00-8:30 p.m.:  Broadway between Hessel Street and West Street

5:00-8:30 p.m.: Broadway between West Street and Anaheim Boulevard

5:00-8:30 p.m.: Anaheim Boulevard between Oak Street and Elm Street
