Disney is developing a sequel to their box office hit Maleficent by hiring Linda Woolverton, who has a long history with Disney, to write the follow-up to her original screenplay.
Angelina Jolie, who starred in the original film, is not yet signed for the sequel but it is expected that Disney would desire her to reprise the role of Maleficent.
The original Maleficent film grossed nearly $760 million in worldwide box office.
