At today’s Apple presentation, it was revealed the Disney Infinity 3.0 will be coming to the new Apple TV as part of their expansion into the television gaming market. Disney Interactive provided further details letting us know that Disney Infinity 3.0 will be available through a similar starter pack to the one that is available for traditional gaming consoles including the Anakin and Ashoka figures as well as a special Bluetooth Infinity base.
More details about Infinity coming to Apple TV are expected to be released soon.
The new Apple TV will begin shipping at the end of October in nearly 80 countries. It is priced at $149 for the 32GB version and $199 for the 64GB version. The existing Apple TV for $69, but that device will not support the new App Store nor Disney Infinity.
