Here are the Disney highlights from Day 2 of New York Comic Con:
ABC Family
At a panel for ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars and Stitchers. It was revealed that Pretty Little Liars will return Tuesday, January 12 at 8:00 – 9:00 PM ET/PT. In advance of the celebrated return of the fan favorite, the network will also air “Pretty Little Liars: 5 Years Forward,” a one-hour behind-the-scenes glimpse at the highly anticipated series time jump on Tuesday, November 24 at 8:00 – 9:00 PM ET/PT. ABC Family is becoming Freeform in January 2016
Marvel Animation
There were several announcements at the Marvel Animation panel. First of all, was the news that a new, feature-length animated film named Marvel Super Hero Adventures: Frost Fight will be available for download. In the film, the Avengers and a few special guest stars are going to be battling against Loki and Ymir who are in search of Santa’s powers.
Also it was revealed that the Guardians of the Galaxy series which just premiered on Disney XD has been renewed for a second season.
Once Upon a Time
At the Once Upon a Time panel, Dark Swan herself (Jennifer Morrison) was joined by series creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. At this session it was revealed that Merida (Amy Manson) will be the main focus of a special two hour OUAT episode this season, and she’ll go an adventure with Ruby (Meghan Ory) and Mulan (Jamie Chung).
Marvel’s Agents of Primetime:
At this panel, head of Marvel TV Jeph Loeb was joined by Coulson himself, Clark Gregg. While they screened next week’s episode of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. the main news was about the second season of Agent Carter.
Wynn Everett (The Newsroom), Reggie Austin (Pretty Little Liars), Currie Graham (Boston Legal), Lotte Verbeek (The Borgias) join are all joining the cast. Everett will be portraying Whitney Frost, known as the villain Madame Masque in the comics. In the series, she is described as a Hollywood actress and a brilliant inventor. Austin’s character is Jason Wilkes, a quirky and charismatic scientist that finds a way to charm Peggy. Chadwick is Whitney Frost’s husband Calvin Chadwich who is a high powered business man in his own right. Perhaps most exciting is the news that Litte Verbeek will be performing the long-anticipated role of Ana Jarvis, the wife of Edwin Jarvis (James D’Arcy).
Also returning as regulars are Chad Michael Murray as Agent Jack Thompson and Enver Gjokaj as Chief Daniel Sousa. Dominic Cooper (Howard Stark) and Bridget Regan (Dottie Underwood) will be recurring once again as well.
