Today it was revealed that Soarin’ at Epcot will close for refurbishment beginning January 4, 2016 and shall reopen in the summer of 2016.
Previously it was announced that the attraction will be transformed into Soarin’ Around the World where guests will journey to far-flung lands and fly above some of the world’s most unique natural landscapes and man-made wonders.
A third theater is also under construction to increase capacity of the popular attraction.
As part of the refurbishment, Soarin’ will convert from film to digital projection.
