Even before he made his scene-stealing debut in The Force Awakens, BB-8 was the hottest toy of the season. Hitting stores on Force Friday back in September, Sphero’s mobile-controlled BB-8 was the must-have gadget for kids and… bigger kids… alike. Now the company behind it is looking to one-up themselves with a new accessory.
According to Wired, Sphero used this week’s International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to tease their new Force Band. Although the product featured in the video below is a prototype and could see some tweaking, the basic idea is that you’ll be able to control your droid using various gestures.

Currently there are no price details or release dates available, but Sphero says it’s targeting a fall launch and they promise the accessory will be sold separately so there’s no need to buy another droid (unless you want to, of course — we won’t judge).
