The El Capitan Theatre has announced the details of their special engagement of Disney’s Zootopia March 4 – April 10, 2016. Before the movie, guests will be treated to an all-new, interactive Wild Animal Encounter show on the El Capitan stage, featuring Lola the Sloth and her animal friends from the Wildlife Learning Center. Plus, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, Disney’s new characters from Zootopia, will make their live stage debut at the El Capitan.

On March 3, El Capitan guests will have the opportunity to be among the first to see Zootopia at a special opening night show  at 7 p.m. Throughout the engagement, the El Capitan will also offer a special Limited-Edition VIP Pin Admission Ticket (while supplies last), which includes a limited-edition Zootopia pin, plus reserved seat, popcorn and drink.

“The El Capitan is the place to be to enjoy Walt Disney Animation Studios’ eagerly anticipated ‘Zootopia,’” said James Wood, operations and stage productions for The El Capitan Theatre. “Not only will El Capitan guests be able to enjoy the film in Dolby Vision laser projection along with Dolby Atmos audio technology, they can also venture downstairs to experience a new exhibit that delves into the filmmakers’ behind-the-scenes research used to create the rich and engaging modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia and its wide variety of animal inhabitants.”

Daily showtimes are 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m.,  and 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now, available at the El Capitan Theatre (6838 Hollywood Blvd.), online at www.elcapitantickets.com or by calling 1-800-DISNEY6. Special group rates for parties of 20 or more are available by calling 1-818-845-3110. Show times and dates are subject to change.

On select dates, El Capitan guests may enjoy breakfast, meet Judy Hopps and receive a commemorative photo before seeing the 10 a.m. movie. Seating is limited and advanced reservations are required with purchase of movie ticket.

El Capitan guests may also enjoy a Dave & Busters Movie & a Meal Offer, which includes a reserved seat for “Zootopia,” choice of entrée from the Dave & Busters Eat & Play menu and a $10 Dave & Busters game card.  Reservations required 24 hours in advance with movie ticket.

The El Capitan Theatre will also host a very special Tiny Tot Tuesday every Tuesday at  10 a.m. during the run of “Zootopia.” During these special screenings, parents and small children may enjoy the movie in a tot-friendly way—with lights dimmed rather than out and reduced sound levels.
